I find this book very helpful: Craft Inc. by Meg Mateo Ilasco http://www.amazon.com/Craft-Inc-Creative-Hobby-Business/dp/0811858367. Plus, I think both artfire and etsy also have info on how to be a successful business crafter online.

Check out http://craftfail.com/ off-topic i know but it’s a funny site to learn from the mistakes of others.
